Reviews for Fish on Europa: An Original Musical

Fish on Europa is a tightly woven piece of theatre, in which every technical, textual, musical and dramatic

part were clearly linked together with incredible forethought."

"The sisters’ work is simple, yet phenomenally well done. In a thoroughly Bovellian mode, Natasha King has built a small and delicately constructed world solid enough for ideas of catastrophe, family, friendship and love, to be explored. The play focuses on a seemingly charming relationship between Ava and Will, but this connection is more a platform to examine what effect an environmental apocalypse could have on human life; channeling a large theoretical possibility through a succinct, clear relationship."

Reviews for Wake: An Original Musical

"This original musical.... starts out well and just gets better. The vocal and musical performances are top shelf, leaving the evolution of the narrative the final requirement for a great production."

 The Adelaide Advertiser

"Wake is a must for aficionados of good modern musical theatre. It’s no wonder that it played to sold out houses in Melbourne."

Adelaide Theatre Guide

"Love the venue. Loved the show. Astounded at the quality of the original music and the score."

Radio Adelaide Digital

"Wake was definitely incredible. This magnificent musical... both conforms to the conventions of musical theatre and also breaks it."

Alternative Adolescent

"Lewis is superb as Laura… this is a very rewarding evening’s entertainment."

Reviews for Problems of Definition: An Original Musical

"There are a lot of things that could be said about Problems of Definition. I could tell you how it somehow managed to draw the audience into an almost car accident-like hypnosis, to have us transfixed on the edge of our seats, desperate to wrench our eyes away and retreat back away from the raw and unsettling grief that was playing out centimetres away. I could give you vague buzzwords like overwhelming, mesmerizing, heart-warming and courageous. Or I could just tell you that if you do not abandon every plan you had made for the next few days and find time to see this production, you will be making a huge mistake."

Ingrid Schrieber

"The King twins have done a stunning job with Problems of Definition, a one-act musical about loss, grief and hope. Surrounded by a set of medical instruments, fallen leaves, and fairy lights, the drama is set in a hospital waiting room where Laura (Brittany Lewis) sits, isolated from the outside world, waiting. The role divisions were extremely clever, so while Laura remained on stage the whole time, the other three actors took on different characters like doctors, patients and her worried husband. The text was rich and offered a satisfying contrast of drama and humour, whilst propelling the story forward and increasing the tension of the audience not knowing why Laura is even at the hospital at all."
